03 — About
Melodic Indie / psych rock —
Sometimes loud.
Based in Rennes, France, JAEV is an emerging Indie rock band formed in late 2024. Their music is driven by aerial guitars, inspired by 1990s Indie rock and psych rock. By blending introspective songwriting with raw rock energy, the band creates a sonic space where intensity meets melody.
Since the project began, JAEV has performed on stage in Rennes and Nantes, sharing bills with bands from the region.
In June 2025, JAEV was nominated for the Bridge Audio Sync Film Awards with their song "Standing".
In August 2025, JAEV held a creative residency at Étang d'Art (Saint-Vincent-des-Landes), dedicated to recording their first EP, currently in production. This period allowed the band to refine their artistic direction and establish a clear, cohesive sound.
In January 2026, the band held a public rehearsal at Jardin Moderne in Rennes.
In March 2026, they were amongst the bands shortlisted for the Festival "Au Pré du Son" springboard in Brittany.
JAEV is currently working on their EP, which will be released in the coming months.
